Barbara Marshall Opposes Recyclying
According to a recent article in The Honolulu Advertiser, Councilwoman Barbara Marshall opposed a curbside recycling program here in Kailua. Apparently, Marshall opposed the plan "because of the garbage fee and other concerns".
Here in Kailua private curbside recycling is provided by Oahu Community Recycling. According to OCR, there are about 200 households that use the service -- this without much marketing exposure.
If you are one of the many individual or families that would like to see the city provide curbside recycling, you can contact Marshall by calling (808) 547-7003, via email (bmarshall@honolulu.gov) or visit her website here.
