Kailua's Sparkling Beaches

Yesterday KailuaBay.org sponsored the Kalama Beach Park station for the Kailua Beach Clean-Up. The morning event was a real success. Lots of folks helped collect marine debris and trash all the way from Castles to Kalapawai.

The biggest haul of the day went to Brendon Schoch who pulled a 100 lb. pile of fishing nets from the beach near flagpole. Thank, Brendon!

And, of course, the clean-up would not have happened at all if it were not not for all the hard work involved in planning and organizing the event. Kudo's to John Stalling for organizing yesterday's beach clean-up in Kailua.
